Lesson summary

After silent nûn or tanween, before ل or ر, the N merges into that letter.

How do I read it?

Do not say the N; go straight to ل or ر. No nasal sound.

Letters: ل ر

Remember: ل ر → merge without a nasal sound.

  • It happens when you join the words; if you stop on the word with tanween, it does not.
