Lesson summary

When you stop on the letter after وْ or يْ that follows a fatha, the sound is lengthened softly.

How do I read it?

Stop at the end of the word and lengthen the وْ / يْ sound softly.

Letters: Fatha + وْ / يْ, then the letter you stop on

Length: 2 elif (a relative length in Tedvîr recitation, not seconds)

Common mistake: Lengthening it also when you do not stop.
